Dual Reverb DR

Dual Reverb DR

Dual Reverb DR is an analog-digital stompbox. It posses two adjustable sets of parameters (effect time and intensity) switched by one footswitch.
DR is constructed according to mostly used by guitarists parameters. There were chosen in it the adequate ranges of reverb time and intensity.

Similarly to other G LAB devices DR combine the effect functions with the enlarged possibilities of control. Two types of reverb (1, 2) posses various resounding time characteristics and a little different tonality. Dual Reverb is very simple in use and will not make any problems even for the beginners.

Basic characteristics:
  • two reverb types (REVERB 1 or 2) with various sound characteristics
  • two sets (A and B) of reverb time and effect level (reverb intensity) controls
  • footswitch switching between different settings of time and intensity of A and B reverbs
  • smooth switching between A and B reverbs (not cutting sounding of previously played tones)
  • signal overdrive indicator (PEAK)
  • high level of maximal signal (8 dBu) what enables to use it at amps effect loops
  • low noise level
  • FOOT PEDAL input for controlling it by a guitar controller e.g. G LAB GSC
  • powder coated casing
  • 9V DC power supply

The difference between the analog-digital (Dual Reverb) and the digital circuit solution.

DR is an analog-digital guitar effect. The principle of functioning consists in adding to guitar signal (passing only through the analog circuit) the reverb signal which arises in DSP processor. Unlike to the typical DSP effects, where whole signal passes through digital signal processing.

Connecting to the amp guitar input

In case when you use only stompbox overdrives the DR should be connected as the last stompbox before an amp.

Connecting to the amp effects loop input

DR should be connected at the end of the signal path, before an amplifier. It means that when we use an overdrive channel (or channels) of an amp the DR should be connected to the amp effect loop.

Connection to the Guitar System Controller (GSC)

The DR can be controlled by the Guitar System Controller GSC. In such a case connect the SW1&2 (or SW3&4) output of the GSC with the DR FOOT PEDAL input by a Jack or MONO Jack cable.
In case when we don’t use the amp’s overdrive it is recommended to connect the DR between the GSC and the amp input or to the LOOP4 of the GSC. The power supply can be supplied then from 9V output of the GSC.
